"PRESTIGE" Brings $21,500!
Dallas Farms, once again, joined Little Red Deer Hereford Farm, as
guest consignors, in celebrating their 52nd annual sale. Current year
bull calves are always featured at this sale and they draw the attention
of purebred breeders and top commercial cattlemen from throughout
the country.
Sale Highlights:
BCD 4K Prestige 403P
This year the top calf was an entry from Dallas Farms, BCD 4K Prestige
403P who sold at $21,500 to Bar-N Ranch & Cattle Co. Ltd., Turner
Valley. 403P is by BCD 721G Knight 4K and out of BCD 71J Princess
245M, a daughter of LRD Home Standard ET 71J. 403 had excellent
EPDs that included BW 5.5 WW 48 YW 80, MM 8.3 and TM of 32.2. His
sire is well known for leaving calves of low birth weight and excellent
carcass quality and his daughters have excellent udders and milk.
BCD 4K Premium ET 438P
B brought the price of $3,100 and sold to Schalin Herefords, Pine
Lake. Born Feb. 18, he is also sired by BCD Knight 4K and out of
the great MHF E1 Brittany 40K, many times Grand Champion Female
at major shows throughout the nation including Farmfair, Agribition
and the Calgary Stampede. She was also the mother of Mercedes, the
high selling bull at the Calgary Bull Sale 2003.
CGD 59J Lady 329N
Topping the bred yearling sale was CGD 59J Lady 329N, a daughter
of HR Maker 59J and out of ARF 39A Silver Strike Lass 57G. The cow
is an own daughter of SNS 50B Silver Strike 29E. She carried the
service of CH 64H Navaho 8N and brought $3,750 selling to Robert
Jackson, Bar Circle 4 Herefords, Drumheller. |
